The difference between LCD and LED

The difference between LCD and LED

LCD and LED are two completely different concepts, LCD is the liquid crystal screen, used for display; while LED is the light source device, used for lighting

In fact, the so-called LED TV, as opposed to CCFL TV, refers to the backlight of the LCD. LCDs themselves do not emit light and need another light source to light up; traditional LCDs use CCFLs as the backlight source, i.e. compact energy-saving lamps.

LEDs can now be used as a backlight, hence the LED TV. OLED is the same as LCD, OLED is an organic light-emitting diode, can be used for display, with OLED does not need a backlight, it is own that light and color, can replace LCD; OLED is currently used for mobile phone screen display (such as ultra-thin mobile phones), the large screen display of OLED has not been commercialized.
